Choc is chic, by Nasty

French street artist Nasty has been commissioned to create customised La Maison du Chocolat gift boxes.

The convergence of art and food is evoked in a new line of limited-edition gift boxes from international chocolatier, La Maison du Chocolat. The collaboration with Nasty, founder of the French street-art scene, is the latest offering from the Paris-based confection brand and demonstrates the artist’s cultural significance.

La Maison du Chocolat is celebrating its 40th anniversary this October and still offers 90% of the debut confections from its first boutique in Paris by founder Robert Linxe. Today, master chef Nicolas Cloiseau brings his personal, creative touch to the brand that includes chocolates, macarons, truffles and pastries.

Alexandre Hildebrand, aka Nasty, discovered graffiti in the 80s, during the influence of American street art and hip hop culture in France. By the end of the 80s, Nasty had distinguished himself as a prolific subway painter in Paris. Nasty has also tagged bottles for Annick Goutal perfumes and Burn energy drinks.
